JUDIT ANGEL<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Judit Angel is a curator and art historian based in Budapest and Bratislava. She has worked as a curator at the Art Museum in Arad, Romania and at M\u0171csarnok\/Kunsthalle in Budapest, Hungary, and since 2013 she has been responsible for the program of the contemporary art organization tranzit.sk<\/a> in Bratislava, Slovakia. She has curated numerous exhibitions including the Romanian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale (1999), Prague Biennale (2003), Overlapping Biennial. Bucharest \u2013 Biennial of Young Artists (2012). Recent exhibitions include Start and Finish. Reflecting on Project-based Culture (2018) and Collection Collective. Template for a Future Model of Representation (with Raluca Voinea and Vlad Morariu, 2017), both at tranzit.sk<\/a>, Bratislava.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She favours contextual approach and likes to re-think exhibition structures and formats according to the requirements of each new case. She is interested in the social function of art, hence her concern for linking art with other domains such as architecture, design, education, ecology and sociology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

V\u00edt Havr\u00e1nek, Ph.D. is an art historian with an interest in the creation and history of artistic exchanges between the First, Second and Third Worlds after the Second World War. Havr\u00e1nek spent many years as the director of the tranzit.cz art centre, which is part of a network of organisations active in five countries in Central and Eastern Europe. This experience gave him a unique overview of critical and innovative topics that bring together schools, museums, and art institutions in former East Europe, Central Asia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and other countries where he has worked. He has curated many exhibitions of contemporary art, including U3 Triennial Ljubljana, Jakarta Biennale 2017, Manifesta 8. He has lectured at universities in the Czech Republic and as a guest lecturer at universities in the United States and Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His articles have been published in books and catalogues by the Centre Pompidou, MoMA, MIT Press, and Sternberg Press.
As Vice-Rector for International Relations at AVU, Havr\u00e1nek has promoted the school\u2019s international development. In collaboration with the school\u2019s management, he has worked on implementing rules of social inclusion, long-term sustainability and gender equality. He serves as member of the advisory council of the Czech Ministry of Culture and as member of the art collections commission of the Czech Parliament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
